ROLEX Stainless Steel Model "Everest" Observtory with Ref. '3478', Center second Wrist Watch. Circa 1930s / 40s. Rolex Oyster Screw Down Crown.

Dial :

Original Pink/Orange Dial is in 80%+ condition with only a few very small fading / aging spots near the edge of the dial. Dial signed Rolex Oyster Everest at 12:00 and Observatory at 6:00.

Case :

Stainless Steel Cushion Case has Screw back cover with Serial no. '174XXX' and Ref. '3478'.

Movement :

17 Jewels Signed Manual Wind Movement.

Remarks :

This watch was created probably in honor of the RAF polits who flew over the mountain in the mid-1930s wearing Rolex watches. Runs Well, keeps good time & in Excellent condition.
