Descriptions :
LeCoultre Stainless Steel / Solid 14KYG "Memovox",  "HPG" Automatic Wind Alarm WW. Circa 1960s/70s.
Dial :
Original mat. black dial with gold applied hour markings appears to be in Excellent / Mint condition. Hands are all in Excellent condition. Unusually Dial is not signed with "LeCoultre" but according to my research and advised by a U.S. Memovox collector previously, the following information is provided for this "HPG" Alarm watch.

This Memovox signed with "HPG" is actually a LeCoultre model. The HPG on dial stands for High Performance Grade, which is the term given by LeCoultre to its new line of full-rotor automatics which were said to be much more accurate than any alarm previously made. LeCoultre claimed in it an extraordinary rate of accuracy.

Case :
Original SS / Solid 14K Gold case appears to be in excellent condition with no visible damage. Bezel ring which appears to be similar to those used on modern Rolex Oyster Date is in Solid 14K yellow gold. Stainless Steel case back cover signed "REMOVE BEZEL TO USE 1300 WRENCH" & "STAINLESS STEEL 14K GOLD CAP". Crowns are not signed but are original.

Size Measured = 37mm without lugs and crown.

Movement :
Movement is the high grade "HPG" Automatic wind as mentioned earlier.
Remarks :
Watch do run on 1st wind which stated that the movement is in good running condition but I do not have the special tools to open this case but I do provide guarantee for this watch.

High Beat Alarm runs well and go on for approx. 15 seconds.

*** What makes this watch collectible (beyond the obvious fact that it is a LeCoultre auto alarm) is the unusual round case shape.  Like many 70s watches, most of the HPG watches have large cushion or egg shapes, which tend to be less attractive to collectors.
