The Interior

As shown from the photos on the left. There are a few variations of the interior arrangement of the car.

1st of all of course this has a RHD interior with climate control Air-Conditioning System.

I have installed the followings for my interior:~

  1. RECARO SR-3 bucket seats. (10/ 2000)
  2. MOMO steering wheel with an additional 50mm Spacer. (6/2000)
  3. MOMO black "Race-Airleather" gear shifter.(8/2000)
  4. Sparco coated aluminum foot pedals.(12/2000)
  5. HKS analogue turbo boost gauge.(10/2000)
  6. Auto-Gauge analogue volt meter.(4/2001)
  7. Mofugas Motorsports quick gear swifter.(8/2001)

  8. GREDDY Turbo Timer

For item 7 which is the short shifter. I would like to mention a few things that I have faced during and after the installation.

  1. It requires to have part of the console to be cut off from the surrounding of the gear shifter, otherwise you will find it very difficult to put it on reverse gear.
  2. Since the travel distance for each shift will be shorter and that you motion have to be very precise. Otherwise wrong gear might be selected. Specially from 2nd - 3rd from my experiences.
  3. Considering after installing the quick shifter, you won't be able to put on reverse while your handbrake is up.

 

The Dash Board

Due to the Japanese road regulation, all local Japanese cars have speed limit of 180km/h on the dash and current output power is limited to 280HP.

For speed, owner usually will have to do a bit of electronic modification to unblock the speed limit.

For horse power, usually by modifying the ECU.

12V Voltmeter

This comes quite handy and allow to tell the battery's and the alternator's condition.

Turbo Timer

Greddy Turbo allow to add extra protection to the turbo specially after hard driving.
