WHEELS / TIRES / SUSPENSIONS / BRAKES

Wheels

The rims that I have purchased for my car is a set of used O.Z. Racing 16 inch F-1 steel rims with 40 Offset. They are heavy but I can tell that they are very strong rims.

Rims (5/2001)

Front Disc is a standard Mitsubishi genuine ventilated disc with addition cross drilled holes.

I have also purchase 2 sets of front camber adjustment bolt from MOFUGAS MOTORSPORTS which allow me to set the front camber to 2-Deg. These special bolts are very easy to install and if you are using standard big coil spring suspension. This is the only choice for setting front camber. (The steering feeling will tell you all about the difference.)

Tires & Shockers

The photo on the left is the GAB rear adjustable shocker and the rear rim & tire. The tires that I have chosen is the Bridgestone's S-02 Pole Position 205/50/R16 which gives me a evenly well handling both in dry and wet weather.

Remarks : I personally feel quite disappointed with the shockers as they are so uncomforted to ride on and do not provide much road handling performance.

Shockers (8/2000)

Tire (9/2000)

Rear Insulator

The photo on the left is the rear insulator which is an aftermarket product. Unlike the genuine Mitsubishi one, this has a bal joint type center to hold the shocker's main shaft.

Rear Disc

The rear brake disc is a standard Mitsubishi disc which I have asked the machine shop to put 4 nos. slots on each side to allow a more even wear on the disc surface while rubbing with the disc pads.
