| A set of RECARO SRIII Seats
were purchased & installed in 2000 which gives a much better
support than the standard seat. The
installation took one whole evening. It was not a very difficult job
but took a lot of time getting the correct measurement right for the
holes to be drilled on the mounting brackets which basically a few
pieces of steel angles as shown on the photos. The reason why we had
to have those brackets made up was because they are lighter than the
original mounting bracket, cheaper. Beside we could not find the
brackets in the market.
The seats were purchased at price of approx.
USD300/each, brand new in box condition. The slider was approx.
USD70/each.
The new seats give a lower seating height
compares to the original seats. Also it gives a better support for
your body at corner. Personally I feel
that it will perform better with a set of 4 point harness.
